Our Pre Kindy / Kindy Program (3 - 5 years)

In our Kindy Room we have 3 large rooms for the children to play between and a spacious and natural outdoor play area which overlooks a lovely park.

There is a team of qualified educators and an early childhood teacher who builds and maintains meaningful relationships with your children.
Together with the children and family feedback they will plan and implement a stimulating program for the children to explore and help them to prepare for transition to school and simply be children.

They will have lots of opportunity for play and through fun and innovative ideas the teachers will keep the children interested, involved and connected, which will enhance their learning capabilities.

The 5 learning outcomes will guide the program for continuous learning from The Early Years Learning Framework (recommended framework for this age group) these are:

  1. Children have a strong sense of identity
  2. Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  4. Children are confident and involved learners
  5. Children are effective communicators

The children will learn social and emotional wellbeing, sharing concepts, self-help skills, physical development (fine motor and gross motor), language skills & cognitive concepts.

Literacy, numeracy, science and project learning will also be integrated into the program.

Before and After School Care

We can provide before and after school care and transportation to and from West Leeming Primary School for kindy age children.
Operational times: 7.00am – 6.00 pm Mon-Fri (except public holidays)

What is provided?

  • Above minimum requirements of educator qualifications and educator to child ratios
  • A play-based program of various activities to enhance their learning and development in a wide range of areas.
  • Nappies for sleep time if necessary
  • Healthy meals, snacks, cow’s milk (Rice or Soy Milk for children with Allergens) and water to drink
  • 5 week rotating menu, of high standard nutrition and quality with 5 star rating of food hygiene standards from the City of Melville
  • Clean bedding and linen
  • Sunscreen
  • Lots of cuddles and fun

What you will need to supply?

  • Change/spare set of clothes.
  • Your child’s comforters, teddy, etc.
  • A hat
  • On enrolments we will require a birth certificate, up to date immunisation record, enrolment form and CRN details from Centrelink.

Other Programs Offered

We offer additional Programs which incur no extra costs to parents.

Mondays: Resilience, emotional coaching and yoga (With Marionne)

Wednesdays: Boogie Woogie Music and Movement Dance Program, where the children are exposed to new rhymes and songs with movement and music.

Fridays: Grasshopper Soccer/Gymnastics –promoting physical movement and gross motor skills.

Multiple other Incursions throughout the year, such as Animals – Wildlife, Farmyard, Fire Engine and Ambulance visits. 

The children also participate in various excursions throughout the year such as visits to the Bull Creek library, Plant A Tree with Melville Council, Piney Lakes Educational Centre and  ReMida Recycling company.

Making connections and maintaining a high reputation in our community is important to us, we also have a strong connection with Leeming Retirement Village.

(All excursions are smaller groups with higher educator to child ratios and our bus has suitable car seats for the children’s ages with 5 point harness seat belts).
